Police Shooting Data – Blog Post
- Client: SURJ Bay Area
- Role: illustration, data visualization, copy editing, writing
I collaborated on a blog post with members of the Communications Committee of the Bay Area chapter of Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ). The post highlights the data and findings of a recent report of national and county-level police shooting statistics in the USA. I created the lead illustration, supporting data visualizations, and helped write and edit the copy. The post can be found here. The original research report can be found here.
Alameda County and national relative risks of being shot are compared across race for people who were unarmed.
